Kaminia Beach is located 34 km south of Argostoli, and it is close to the highly touristic Skala village. It is one of the longest beaches of Kefalonia.
It is connected to the neighbor beach of Mounda, offering a huge space where people can freely enjoy several activities and long walks along the beautiful coast.
It is a well-organized beach with umbrellas, sun beds and a small beach bar where you can refresh after a long stroll or swimming session with a beautiful panoramic view. A water sport center is not available. The area is ideal for a serene and relaxed day under the warm sun. The waters are crystal clear with no sudden drop. Combined with the soft sand, the beach is greatly appreciated by families with young children.
The beach offers shelter to the loggerhead turtles Carretta-Carretta which are already suffering mass extinction. The turtles nest in the gentle sloped sand during the midnights of May and August.
The countryside of Katelios village is ideal for romantic excursions in the thick green trees. It takes a few minutes to walk to this beach. It is easily accessed from the village of Skala as well.
