Lourdas beach is located at the village of Lourdata, 16 km southeast of Argostoli. The village stands on the hillside of Mount Ainos, overlooking the blue sea.
The bay is one of the largest on the island. It is surrounded by a green landscape with thick vegetation. The combination of the crystalline waters and stunning mountain backdrop provides a dreamy scenery that captivates all visitors. Lourdas is one of the many Blue Flag awarded beaches of the island.
The beach is covered with white sand for the most part, although for those who prefer it, there are sections covered with small white pebbles. The sea is quite deep in some places, so young children should be careful when swimming.
It is a well-organized beach, with sun beds, umbrellas, beach bars and water sport center, but it has also completely unspoiled areas.
Right above, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, local shops and hotels. Lourdas is easily accessed with public buses from Argostoli and other villages.
